Denise R. Schoen is now with the Adam Miller Group! 

Denise R. Schoen, Esq. joined The Adam Miller Group in March 2022. She was admitted to the practice of law in 1998 in New York after graduating with a J.D. summa cum laude from The New York State School of Law at Buffalo and with an

undergraduate degree summa cum laude in pre-law from Long Island University at Southampton. Since then, she has developed a distinguished career in the fields of zoning, municipal and real estate law.

Upon graduating law school, Denise was employed in the litigation department of Dewey & LeBoeuf in Manhattan where she worked on corporate litigation matters. After several years in the city, Denise moved back to her hometown, East Hampton where she served as an Assistant East Hampton Town Attorney. Denise later joined Twomey, Latham, Shea, Kelley, Dubin & Quartararo LLP, where her practice was concentrated on land use and planning matters along with residential real estate transactions. Denise was a partner in another East End firm until she opened a successful solo practice in East Hampton.

A devoted Sag Harbor community member, she has served as a Member on the Village Zoning Board of Appeals, the Board of Architectural and Historic Preservation and then served as the attorney for those same Boards together with the Planning Board and Harbor Committee until 2020 when she was selected to become the Village Attorney.

In addition to her position as Village Attorney, Denise has also served on the Board of Directors for the Sag Harbor Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the Sag Harbor Community Housing Trust, and presently serves on the Board of the Donald T. Reutershan Trust, an educational trust that financially supports art programs for children in Sag Harbor.

Denise is a retired volunteer Critical Care Emergency Medical Technician with the Sag Harbor Volunteer Ambulance Corps and continues to volunteer her time with global organizations, such as Team Rubicon, to provide disaster relief around the globe. Denise has two daughters in college and continues to live with her husband in Sag Harbor. She was named Person of the Year by the Sag Harbor Express, in 2017.
